Running Oracle V7.3 on DEC Alpha
Batch job using SVRMGRL logs to file.
"Type" of file displays OK.
"Edit" of file displays log in 1 character wide lines

On displaying control characters on screen, there appears to be an escape
character sequence following each character.
Is there any way I can prevent this.
