Install Issue with Des 2.1

Hi all...
I've had Des 1.3/Oracle 7.3 running just fine on my desktop (no network connections)...and decided to get the Trial CD from Oracle for 2.1.
I'm getting the following error and log file info when I select "Install New Repository" (which is exactly what I want to do!):
Error Message:
ORA-00904 invalid column name

Do I just have a bad file and need a new CD -- or is there something *I* can do to get around this...
