[Quoted] I'm running Oracle 7.3.4 Workgroup server on an NT 4.0 box in a remote office which is not part of our lan.
I would like to be able to run SQL*Plus from my office and connect to that remote database over a dial up connection. I setup RAS on the remote server and can connect to it via Win 95 dial up networking.
I have sql*net configured on both the remote server and my pc I can connect to the server from my pc when the server is on our lan. But I cannot connect to it over the dial up connection. I get ORA-12333.

Is it possible to connect to a remote database over a dial up connection. If so, how?
