Multiple DBI modules in same app?

Don't know DBI/DBD yet, but can someone tell me if it is possible to use multiple DBI modules in the same app?

I might need my app to talk to both Oracle and Informix and would like to make this a run-time configuration issue instead of a compile-time issue.
