newbie - mac clients?

We've got a mixed client environment of Windows and Mac computers and will be implementing an Oracle database in the future that will contain image and text data. All clients run TCP/IP to access the web and the application that will access the database will be developed in house. Of course we'd like to be able to develop a single application that is supported on both Win and Mac clients, AND can be deployed to the Web to allow for access by people on the road and across the campus. Any suggestions for tools? Anyone have experience with a mixed development and deployment using Oracle 8? Are there any issues people are aware about using Oracle client apps on Mac OS (including os 7.5 and above). Does Oracle provide any support for Appletalk natively?
