Long delay to save record containing a lond raw datatype !

Hi, do anybody can confirm that it takes a long time to save/commit a column defined as a long raw (OLE container from Forms 4.5) in Oracle 7.2.3 RDBMS (HP/UX server). The document is created with Microsoft Word 7 and is 1 page long (assuming 15 K max.) and takes 15 sec to complete the commit. P.S. PC client is Pentium / 32 M RAM / 166 MHz / 2 G hard disk. Thanks for any help.
