I am trying to write an efficient text file exporter (to Oracle 7.3) using Visual BASIC and ODBC, but even when I optimised the VB code and method of text file manipulation, I still only get an export rate of 10 records per second.

This may be the maximum I can expect from using VB, but are there any 'plug-ins' available that could take some of the work away from VB and thus speed up this app.?
Would much appreciate any help.
