Re: The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN)

Dear Colleagues,

I am proud to announce that Issue 5.0 of The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN) was posted to the internet on June 1, 1998. The URL for the newsletter is http://www.tdan.com. Please take a look and encourage your friends and colleagues to do the same. There is NO CHARGE for the newsletter.

With this issue, The Data Administration Newsletter celebrates its first anniversary. The first issue of TDAN was announced on June 22, 1997 to an already-registered reader base of several hundred.

Features of Issue 5.0 include:

  • A dozen new articles on: data warehousing, data quality, enterprise data modeling, data architecture, meta data management, data model evaluation, and much more.
  • An archive of over 45 articles from past TDAN issues.
  • An updated Book Review section.
  • An updated Job Classified section.
  • An updated Organization Updates section.
  • Updated questions and answers in the Reader's Corner.
  • Lists of interesting: conferences, web-sites, magazine articles, books.

TDAN has been given another face-lift. I think that you will find the newsletter easier to read, cleaner, and an improvement over past issues. The frames have been removed and navigation has been made easier. Most of the changes can be directly associated to reader's comments.

As always, if you are interested in contributing an article to TDAN, sponsoring the newsletter, or if you have a question or comment, please feel free to contact me at rseiner_at_tdan.com. I hope to hear from you.

Please register for newsletter-related announcements on-line. I promise that no spam will be sent to you as a result of registering.

I greatly appreciate the reader and sponsor support that TDAN has been given in the past year. Thank you very much!

Best Regards.
Bob Seiner
