Re: URGENT HELP -- ORA-12571 on Oracle7.1/Novell Netware 4.11

I have seen this behavior when upgrading from 7.1 to 7.2 ( or higher) and found that there could be a nls_lang mismatch - check the settings for the database( in config.ora ) and be sure it is the same as the one used when the database was created...

Also Oracle recommends that Netware patch STRNL5 be installed on the server ( Check the novell site for its location to download)
