running reports via forms

Wešre using Reports 2.5 and Forms 4.5. We have several reports that run via Oracle Forms. The reports run fine until the records hit approx. 5,000+ then the system chokes... This seems to happen only when run from Forms runtime. In most cases, when we run the same large sets of data from the designer, they run fine.
