I am using Access97 with Oracle ODBC driver 2.5.3.1.0B on NTW 4.0. All appropriate service packs have been applied. Frequently when I go to link to a table, I enter my user name and password and then link to a table in my schema. When I try to open this table, I get the following message:

[Oracle][ODBC Oracle Driver][Oracle OCI]ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied. (#1017) [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed (#0)

The problem is totally intermittent, but when it pops up the only resolution seems to be to link using the internal account. Any thoughts? This is just one a myriad of problems we're having with this driver. I am willing to entertain suggestions as to a better product. Received on Mon Apr 13 1998 - 00:00:00 CEST
