Local data storage for later loading issue

This is just a general method inquiry, hopefully someone can give a hand.

I use a Form to input data on a local NT machine and send the data to a remote NT server database. In case the connection line may be down, I need to have an option to save the data locally first in order to send them to the server later when the conneciton comes back. I don't know which way is the best: save it in a local text file, or in a buffer, and use what tool to send them later - loader or anything else? Any clue about any aspect of the task is appreciated.
