Support stinks

of course i guess we all know that or we wouldnt be here eh?
Im new to oracle and am finding it like pulling teeth. ofcourse i went to oracle online and read about there global unmatched support over and over again.....
funny i couldnt get an answer to a question though. I find every little thing i need to accomplish is a major hurdle and takes hours of digging. Sorry if i sound sour but hate my productivity being so slow. Am i missing something ?....or is the answer $$$$$$ as it seems to do anything i need to buy something from oracle in the form of software or training at rediculous prices?
