Live screen updates

Thanks in advance for any help you can give. I am a fairly new programmer to oracle with lots of experience in other platforms. Heres the problem

How can I see results realtime during sql statement processing. I have toyed with the dbms routines but everything provides feedback at the end of the process. Is there some magical command that hours of reading help screens and manuals forgot to mention?
Please help. ie printf / print / ? / _at_ / linesay / whatever. p.s. not the print statement with variables, they won't work in procedures. thanks Received on Wed Mar 04 1998 - 00:00:00 CET
