can oracle server 7.3.2.3.1 and designer2000 ver 1.2 work on the same PC?

[Quoted] I installed oracle server 7.3.2.3.1 on windows NT 4.0 and I want to run designer2000 ver 1.2 on the same machine. The problem is that designer was made for windows therfore it created a home directory "windows" and uses sql-net ver 2.1 but oracle server is designed for "nt" so it to made a home directory "nt" which in turn has sql-net ver 2.3 running in it.
