I have just installed Oracle7 client part on my Windows 95 workstation from NT server. Our LAN is consist of several workstations and a server which runs on NT server operation system. When I finished the instation and restarted it, everything seemed good. When I tried to use SQL*Plus3.3, I was promped to enter the usename, password, and the home string. I entered them, but it didn't work. I tried several different groups of login usename, password, they all failed. Later, someone told me I must copy a file named trsnames.org (located in Orawin95/network) to Orawin95/network/sample directory. I did it and found all the usename, password, home string worked. But the installation doesn't tell me to so. I am wondering is there anyone has ever met such problem and willing to tell me why we should do this? Zhenming
