How should I do this?

[Quoted]    I am using forms 4.5 on an Oracle 7.3.2 database. I have to provide a search tool for the users which involves an outer join of possibly 5 large tables. They want to be able to enter anywhere from 1 field to all of the fields in the search criteria. Any ideas on how to do this (and performance is key)?
