• ORACLE BUNDLES THREE NEW PRODUCTS WITH APPLICATION SERVER 4.0 Oracle Selects Wallop Build-IT, Trial Version of WebTrends' Web Management Software, and Symantec's Visual Page to Bundle with Oracle Application Server 4.0.
• ORACLE ADDS FLOW MANUFACTURING TO ORACLE APPLICATIONS Oracle announced Oracle Flow Manufacturing, a manufacturing solution that supports product-family-based, mixed-model manufacturing.
• SIMBA TECHNOLOGIES RELEASES ODBC AND JDBC DRIVERS FOR ORACLE8 Simba Technologies released workgroup and enterprise-level ODBC and JDBC drivers for Oracle8, providing customers with ODBC and JDBC connectivity solutions to Oracle8 databases over LANs, WANs, and the Internet.
• MICROSOFT TO UNVEIL VISUAL INTERDEV UPGRADE This week, Microsoft will unveil a major upgrade of its Web development tool, Visual InterDev. The upgrade includes visual design and debugging tools, which it formerly lacked, as well as many other new features.
• BIG BAD NEWS FOR SYBASE [Quoted] Company is forced to restate earnings, sees 4Q loss on improper revenue recognition in Japan, and faces class action alleging financial fraud.
