Problem using appletviewer

[Quoted] I am having trouble using the appletviewer to view a Developer 2000 2.0 form deployed
on the web (WAS 3.0). I can view it with both IE 4.01 and Netscape 4.04 with
the JDK supplement. However, when I try to use the appletviewer it hangs.
I set the PATH and CLASSPATH environment variables and then I tried the running the appletviewer with:
