Please let me know if you have an insight into the following problem:
Here is what I am running --
Reports v2.5.6.2 on Windows 95
Server v7.3.1 on Solaris
When I define a user parameter as a CHARACTER type and try to use it in the WHERE clause of a query, Reports CRASHES unexpectedly.
For instance, if P_1 is character, and the WHERE clause is: where company_name = upper(:P_1)
then reports crashes immediately after I hit "apply" or "ok".
- This error does not occur in NT 4.0 **
Ok, I can do my development in NT 4.0, but my clients are going to be running on Win95.
Is there a patch to correct this error, or ??????
By the way, I notice the same behavior with any of the demo reports that make a call to a user parameter in this way.
Please respond via email: michaelt_at_plosive.com
Thank you.
