We are using Oracle 7.32 tables in our Data Warehouse. We have 50 tables or so. The largest is 2M records.

Our last table was 5.3M records and 648M bytes. We use SQL*Net 7.x, ODBC 2x, and Access 2.0 to run reports and queries. When we look at these tables we can briefly open the table, but soon get a #NAME$ in all fields. Then a generic Access ODBC error (not Oracle). Clicking on the help button doesn't.

I'm thinking we need a new ODBC driver. This one is from Oracle.

Before you say to switch to 32 bit drivers, we've tried them too.

Oracle ODBC 2.5, SQL*net 7.5? and Access 97 with SR1 (running this over the network by the way). With 32 bit drivers, we get the same problems, but can't even view the table before we get the error above.

Have we reached the limit of Access? Or will a new Oracle driver fix things?
