Pro*C 8.0 for NT

[Quoted] I am trying to port a bunch of Pro*C code over to an NT machine from UNIX. On NT Pro*C seems to require that all declarations, #defines, #includes, etc. be placed within an EXEC SQL DECLARE SECTION for it to recognize them. This was never the case on UNIX, and means a lot of annoying code changes. Does anybody know why this is or if it can be avoided?
