Dev2k - Release2 Backward compatibility?

We currently use a template to develop custom forms which are registered and used thru Oracle Applications - because the template uses packages for the apps, and the apps are 16bit, we have been using the 32bit Release 1.5 to create the forms, then generating them as 16bit fmx's. This has worked fine with rel1.5 - and brings me to my question.

What is the backward compatibility of the new rel2, I would like to follow the same path, ie, develope in rel2, generate 16bit fmx's, (and continue to wait for apps to be 32bit <G>), However, I don't know if there are any issues with the generator that I should be aware of, in other words, can it generate an fmx reliably? Are there any hidden dangers? (I know it _can_ generate the fmx, it runs, but I know this is not a good indication of whether it works <G>).

Ditto vis a vis, the new Reports tool, we're all very anxious to be able to use the new reports tool, but don't want to introduce any anomalies. If anyone has had any experience, or has any theories regarding this I'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks.
