Disconnect from Embedded SQL

I am writing some embedded SQL in C programs.
I can CONNECT.
But, I can't find anything concerning DISCONNECT, or equivilent.
Is there such a thing?
I'm concerned that the sessions will still be running, when they should end as soon as the program does.
