Recovery and mirrored logfiles

Hi,

This subject may have been discussed before without me noticing.

If a late block in the current logfile is corrupted, will an automatic recovery switch to the mirrored logfile before giving up?

Or is it necessary to manually save the first logfile, copy the mirrored one across, and then try again?

And will the answer also apply to an incomplete recovery  'until time'?
