Oracle and RAID level 5

I've heard (in passing) that there are problems experienced when using Oracle 7.x and RAID level 5. Has anyone have any specific problem/s encountered ? Please let me know.
Are there any special considerations to how it handle Oracle's data blocks, extents or segments ?
