PO7 question about tables with same name

There are several books out there for PO7/Dev2000 with sample databases on CD---some which build their tables with sql scripts, some by importing .dmp files.
Some of these little sample db's include a table called "customer", so how does Oracle treat the introduction of new tables with names [Quoted] already used by existing tables in the database? Does the fact that these tables are created/imported by different users keep them identified as unique? Should separate tablespaces be created?
