This is the standard behaviour of forms if you are setting the Current Record Attribute property.

The record is still the current record for the block even if it no longer has focus.

I use different visual attributes (with different colours) for the current record of blocks with and without focus by toggling between 2 visual attributes in pre and post block triggers.

This allows the user to clearly see which block/record has focus and still maintains visual context in the non-active block.
