You might want to investigate, ODBC or SAS-Access products. SAS-Access will do datatype conversions almost transparently. SAS may also help you with other datatype issues float to decimal and precision concerns.

It can be a nightmare to assure that all reports done in Sybase yeild exactly the same totals/percents as the reports run in Oracle. Roger J DeAngelis
