Hi !
At first, please forgive my English, I'm not a native speaker :-))) X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2]

I've read your letter. In my firm we also use the Visual Basic to access to Oracle database. I have some ideas that may help you: 1. Access to the database - I suggest using Oracle Objects for Ole, at least version 2.1. They are extremaly fast, and connect to the database using only SQL-NET, without ODBC. There are two ways of using them: first, you may programmatically create dynasets (about 4 instructions to create one :-) ) and use them to access data, second: you may use Oracle Data Bound Control. It is very similar to data bound controls in Visual Basic and works really fine. Probably it will be the best solution to you, if you have an experience from MS-Access.
I personally prefer pure Objects for Ole (using dynasets). They are not much more complicated than data bound control and give much more possibilities to the programmer.

2. About some kind of a form-generator. I work with the Oracle Designer 2000 ver 1.3.2. It's kind of CASE tool, with possibility to generate Visual Basic programs. Generated forms maybe aren't ideal, but are very good starting point to make good application. Actually I work with the one and it's really nice.

I hope that this message will be useful for you :-))).
