Write data from SQL*Forms to COM1

Hello
Tool: Forms45
Plattform: Win95
Has anybody ever tried to write data from a form to the serial PC-Port COM1
in SQL*Forms45 and also read it back? We need this to store inventory data
on
a EEPROM.
Is there a library for this task or does anybody has some good ideas to do this ?
