Cancelling a stored proc midstream?

Is it possible to somehow stop a stored procedure while it is executing, from a Windows application? The application was developed in PowerBuilder 4.0, and the database resides on Solaris. The application talks to the database using drivers provided by PowerSoft, NOT ODBC.
