Spatial Cartridge Installation

I'm trying to install the spatial cartridge on a new 8.0.3 NT system. Apart from the Oracle Installer option (which, by the way, does NOT install it) I can't find a single drop of documentation on installation. Pouring through the included sql scripts, the best guess I could find for an installer is catmd.sql which, of course, throws compilation errors. Anyone with advice, experience, or documentation?
