User-entered trademark symbols

We have a screen where tradenames will be listed and can be updated. Any ideas on how users can enter these symbols as part of the tradename (ie. TM), and how Oracle will store them? Depending on how this is done, we were thinking some parsing of the item's contents might have to be done also, looking for the symbol which could be anywhere in the tradename, and were wondering how to accomplish this as well.
