I've used it for developing a medium-sized application, and it proved to be very productive in that case. However, it seems likely that it won't scale well (in other words, it's probably not suitable for large development teams).

Oracle seem to be committed to OPO for the moment, but the industry doesn't seem too keen on the product - for example, I've yet to see any job ads for OPO programmers in this country. It seems likely that the incredibly ham-fisted way that it was released about two versions early put a lot of people off. Whether it survives in the long-term is anybody's guess. I personally believe that it deserves to - it's a very good product in many respects.
