Armaghan,
As a serious data converter I recommend you look at SQLMover which is a
production or on-demand tool for DBAs or the DB knowledgeable
that allows you to replicate automatically between any ODBC compliant
datasource including Oracle, Ingres, Informix, DB2, all MS databases
including SQL
Server, Access and Excel. You need the Intersolv ODBC driver for Oracle. It
does not generate DLL in the present edition. The Access 32-bit ODBC driver
is downloadable from www.sqlmover.com as well.
SQLMover uses standard, simple or complex SQL
Select statement in
one end and a INSERT, UPDATE, INSERT then UPDATE, UPDATE the INSERT or
DELETE statement towards the destination database table. It has error
control and logging facilities. Data conversion
can be performed by using the SQL SELECT CONVERT option or by using string
functions in the SELECT query, by using the built in
Format Mask functions or by using triggers in the destination database. To
evaluate until Oct.31 you can download from www.sqlmover.com (follow the
download buttons) and use the evaluation key OSHKSHTD. The key allows you
to transfer a limited number of rows per transfer/replication task and max.
5 tasks
can be defined.
For Data Mart Data Warehousing purposes you can choose to let SQLMover
aggregate your data by using SELECT - GROUP BY. That is if you don´t want
to transfer all details.
