Hi,

it seems that you haven't connected to the database before compiling the form. You must connect to an Oracle database (Oracle7 Server, Personal Oracle,.. whichever) before compiling because Oracle Forms must know which datatypes are you referring to in your code. Look for the option "Connect" under the "File" menu.Usually for the tutorial forms the user is Scott and his passwd tiger. You must give it also your database connection string or alias, which you should have defined with the SQL*Net program.
