We went throught the same problem with RPT to Reports 2.5. There arn't any easy answers, but here's the only thing I could find:

1.) Kumuran systems - Last time I talked to them they were very

expensive ($50-75K) for a few hundered reports.

2.) Miti (now Scribe) use to sell "RPT-2-C", which would take RPT

code as an input, and generate either "C" coder or an executable
file (known as RPT-2-EXE). I called them, and they say they
don't sell or support it anymore. I found one vender in Europe
that had it for (VMS,UNIX,DOS,etc), but again quite expensive
at $10-$15K + not incl support.

3.) I've heard that Designer/2000 can convert RPT code - though

I only use Developer/2000, so I can't say how well it works,     and I understand that the character --> GUI takes some tweeking. .. Received on Tue Sep 02 1997 - 00:00:00 CEST
