[Quoted] I became frustrated with trying to run the PO7 tools with Windows95. So I decided to go back to Windows 3.1. The tools run better for me on that OS. My system used to work pretty well with 3.1 and I seem to have just gotten more frustrated with 95. I only switched to use PowerBuilder Desktop 32-bit. Then you can't use the PB with PO7.

So. I went back to 3.1. Now my DOS won't work from the hard drive. When I try to reinstall DOS from the floppy I get the message that I already have DOS and that these floppies are for a new PC. Also I can't get Windows 3.1 to recognize my CD-ROM that used to work on 3.1 fine.

Can somebody tell me how to get DOS working on the hard drive again? Also, if anyone has an idea on the CD-ROM that would be a big help. Windows 3.1 says it can't find it.

I'm using a 486 100 machine with a Sanyo CD.

Thanks for any help.

P.S. I know this isn't directly an Oracle topic but I imagine some people in the group have had this happen.

Thanks
