You browser doesn't really implement Java 1.1. (None of the released browsers except Sun's HotJava implement Java 1.1.3.)
You can view your app with Explorer v4 preview 2 for Windows or Netscape Communicator 4.0.2 for Windows plus the newly available Netscape Java 1.1 preview 1 engine.
