Harald,

The only two that I know of are SQLStation by Platinum
(http://www.platinum.com) and SQLNavigator Pro by TechnoSolutions
(http://www.technosolutions.com). We have both on site for evaluations.

SQLStation was where I thought I wanted to go, but we have had no luck getting a debug version of some of our easier functions. I called their support, received a incident number, but they have not really told me what the problem(s) is. The price tag is *very* spendy, $3000 per seat and it is a 32 bit tool (Win95,NT).

SQLNavigator Pro looks good, at least I am able to work with our functions, but it is limited. You must have at least Oracle v7.3.2.x for minimal functionality. With Oracle v7.3.3.x you get full functionality. The price tag is reasonable, for $2900 you get 5 seats and a 12 month support contract. This is also a 32 bit tool.

I have heard of SQLProgrammer by Slyvan Faust (sorry, no URL), but I understand you cannot set watches, breakpoints or step through the code without invalidating the code on the server side. I may be wrong.

And finally, I do not know if Oracle has one, and if they did, that debugged code without invalidating code on the server side, it would probably cost a lot more than $3000 per seat.

HTH Regards
//Karl
