It is great for that purpose. In fact, the software is made for it. Many less functional packages have trouble with the ad hoc placement needed for pre printed forms, but with reports you can place anythjing anywhere.
One idea you should consider is to throw out the expensive pre printed forms and print the entire form on a laser printer using reports.
