 Most of the later releases of UNIX now support files > 2Gig . I dont know which version on Sun does though. Your other problem is that the export utility cannot WRITE files bigger than 2Gig
There is however patches available for the 7.3 version of Oracle to export large files.
The best would be to get the releases of Solaris that support > 2Gig files and find out from Oracle if a patch is available for 7.2 to export Large files.
