I did do a conversion like this; a few hundred pro-c programs.(aix 3.2.5 -> aix 4.1, pro*c 1.6 -> 2.1, oracle 7.1.4 -> 7.2) Most problems had to do with bugs in pro*c precompiler and in the makefiles (not the ones delivered by oracle ;-)) Errors in makefiles like hardcoded ORACLE_HOME, userid & passwords ...
The 'nicest' bug I found on pro*c was a case sentence, that was absolutely correct but did only compile in one specific order. The complete conversion took me nearly 3 weeks (390 prg's).
