Hi,

[Quoted] I just installed Oracle Designer/2000 (Vers. 1.3). After that I tried to connect to my database with the Oracle Enterprise Manager (Vers. 1.2.2) and to my surprise, it did not work anymore! So I reinstalled the Enterprise Manager and everything worked fine (in the Enterprise Manager).

After that, I tried to build the repository for the Designer/2000. You guessed it -- it failed. Two errors in building packages (rmptch and ckonls). I was not able to do anything but administrating the repository...

So I "updated" the files on my hdd with those on the Designer/2000 CD. Guess what? Of course the Enterprise Manager did not work anymore!

So it seems to me that Oracle Designer/2000 (Vers. 1.3) and Oracle Enterprise Manager (Vers. 1.2.2) cannot be installed and used at the same machine.

Is that true? If so, what can I do?

        Thanks for any clue, Gerhard.

PS: It took me two days to find out. :-(
