When editing data in an ODBC attached Oracle 7.1 table in MS Access 97 the following problem occurs:
The first time a record is edited an saved everything seems OK. Upon trying to save further changes to the record Access displays an error message saying:
"The record has been change by another user", although there are no other users accessing the database.
The record can be edited and saved again only if a requery is performed after each update.
Sometimes Access marks the record "#Deleted#" although it still exists in the Oracle database.
(The error is independent of the type of data beeing modified).

The software installed is:

Server:
VMS 5.2
Oracle 7.1
SQL*Net 2.1

Client:
Windows95
SQL*Net 2.2
Oracle ODBC driver 1.13.00.4 for Windows 95 MS Access 97

Has anyone else experienced this problem ? Will an upgrade of the SQL*Net Client from 2.2 to 2.3 and installing the corresponding ODBC driver (1.16.xx ?) solve the problem ? Can I use SQL*Net 2.3 on the client while keeping Oracle 7.1 and SQL*Net 2.1 on the server ?
A better ODBC driver for connecting Oracle and MS Access ? Any other suggestions ?

Kind regards
