Hi,

I've recently started working with ORACLE on Dynix/ptx. I have been a DBA for MS-SQL-Server on NT for the last 4 or so years.

Although it has problems, one useful utility that came from MS is the Transfer Manager tool. This amongst other things enables database schemas to be copied from database to database.

As always we are having to manage several instances for production and development. ORACLE Enterprise Manager Schema manager tool is useful but does not seem to have the functionality of the MS tool.

As ORACLE objects are created with individual storage parameters (unlike MS-SQL-Server), I would like to be able to copy schemas from instance to instance and be able to also specify a percentage of the original storage parameter values

e.g. Copy schema A to B and create objects in B with storage parms. set at 10% of the respective size in A.

Lazy I know, but any ideas anybody ?

Thanks
