Query tools

Can anyone recommed me a good tool to do complex queries in a Oracle database? For example, if I have a database for a PCstore, my queries are going to be like
[Quoted] --"How many harddrive models were sold out within 6 months in the past
year? How about in the past three years?"
--"What unexpected events happened to a certain computer modle or any
item?"
--"How do computer repair times compare between models?"

Of course these are merely examples in my queries, the reset of them are all like these and the number of the queries is growing. If there is not such a tool available, what is the right way to do it?

I'm new in database. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
