Have your menu program call a user_defined trigger (e.g. USR_EXIT_CHECK). This trigger should be defined at form level in the Form, and should call a program unit which does all the necessary processing. The same program unit should be called from the key-exit and any necessary button triggers.
You would need to define a trigger with the chosen name in all forms which use the same menu, but any forms which did not have special exit processing would just have a NULL; statement in it.
