Igor,

I use OO4O2 from VB3 and Excel5 against an Oracle 7.3 database. I started with studying the samples in C:\ORAWIN\OO4O2\VB\SAMPLES, C:\ORAWIN\OO4O2\EXCEL\SAMPLES and the Quick Tour in OO4O2 Help. I'm not using the OO4O2 Data Control however. Be sure to read Tecnical Notes/Coding Techniques in OO4O2 Help. Installed OO4O2 on every PC I use my apps on, simpler than registering the redistributable OO4O2 files.
I chose for OO4O2 (not ODBC) because OO4O2 is faster and allows me to do Oracle native SQL.

I have Oracle Objects for OLE version 2, Oracle7 Server 7.3.2.3, SQL*Net 2.3, WfW 3.11 PC's, Visual Basic 3.0, Excel 5.0.

Hope this helps.

Ludo.
